| The third edition of the "CSI" franchise sets up shop in the Big Apple, where taciturn Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and his partner, Detective Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes), lead a crime-solving team. Like his counterparts in Las Vegas and Miami, Taylor knows that people may lie, but the evidence rarely does. |

| Angell is a homicide detective with the New York police department, who works in conjunction with the crime lab. Little has been revealed about Angell’s background up until this point. She’s an at least second generation detective (her father was a detective sergeant), and the youngest of five with four older brothers. She fought to get to her rank in the department, and feels that she constantly has to prove she is capable of doing her job, and wasn’t just getting it because of nepotism and/or her gender. She’s been shown to have strong relationships with the people she works with, including Don Flack and Danny Messer. She is usually polite and amiable on first meeting, but she does have a short-sided temper, and will snipe and snark if she gets annoyed. She is often very up front with people because she’s found that it saves her a lot of annoyance and pick up lines. |
